2006年から始まったんですね、日本ではソフトバンクの孫さんが押してからですから2009年あたりですかね
２月時点でユーザー２億人だそうで
日本では、TwitterかLineかという若い世代で人気があります。
Jack Dorseyさんですが、カード決済のsquareもありますし、これからどういう展開になるのでしょうね

facebookもtwitterもユーザー数的にはピークなのでは？というあたりでの上場ですね、昔の上場とは違い完全に凄いサービスになった後に上場。
ベンチャーの資金調達のための上場というより、公共企業的な意味合いなのでしょうか

日本の場合は、いかにもベンチャーがちょっと売上をあげて一部まであがってしまうケースが最近いくつかありましたが、ああいうのとはちょっとイメージが違いますね
有無を言わさぬ世界一になってからの上場。
